Just like Heracles sailed out of the Noosphere, lost courage, returned, and placed a pillar at Gibraltar (the tangent from the prefrontal cortex of the Mediterranean, mind you) saying “This far, and no further,” so too do all explore a dangerous thing until they personally…

The corded or string skirt was also very likely worn earlier in -lithic cultures, typically made from woven plant fibres (such as flax). In artistic representations the garment is typically associated with women.

I dont necessarily love this specifically, but I do actually like modernist additions to old buildings. I think it ends up highlighting both. And one thing a lot of Trads don't appreciate, is that the interior of modern spaces is often "better, more natural" than a stuffy chateau

The Holburne Museum in Bath. Why would they add such a monstrosity on the back?

Camera footage was never objective truth, it's a conceit, and it's not a coincidence that it coincides with the age of Scientism. Same fallacy. Photos have never been True. AI destroying the false idol is good. The Word triumphs, as always.

In 2–3 years, there will be no way to tell what’s real and what’s not… and I have no idea how humanity will deal with this enormous problem.

YOU ARE AN EXPONENT OF CULTURE AND HISTORY AND ALL THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO CAME BEFORE YOU. YOU ARE NOT ENLIGHTENED AND SITTING ON A BOOKSHELF ABOVE EVERYONE ELSE! YOU ARE FLESH, YOU ARE YOUR MOTHER'S SON, NO ONE ELSES.

I am generally of the opinion that caring about what ancestors who died before you were born did is complete loser shit and nothing I’ve seen the last few years has really changed that.

This would all be solved in a culture of babies, if people grew up around babies and had more babies and weren’t just doing a “im gonna try adulting, time for The Baby Project”. It is all much more mundane, needs to be more mundane, because it is mundane.

it's crazy how women will give birth and be physically overwhelmed, sleep deprived, and trying to heal, but they're also expected to "just know" how to be a baby project manager, track feedings, naps, and poops. it's no wonder they become enraged when dad says, "how can I help?"

This boy appeared out of nowhere on my walk today. We stared at one another for a long time and there was something to be learned from that knowing smile, those wise eyes.

We shouldn’t love others the way God created them because we are created in sin, but we should love others the way God intended for them to be, for their potential of becoming less than beast.

If you don't do it over and over again, you lose the ability to do it at all. Why do you think they call practice "training?"

I love that building a railroad across the one flat part of the American West has proven a completely impossible task for the descendants of those who built a railway across all the wavy bits in the 1860's

Why do atheists presume there's less control over our minds than the Vatican had in the middle ages? It's almost completely false apriori. It's easy to track in terms of political activation & the extinction level event of regional accents
