Friday morning I met a group from @CenSynNYC and gave them a lowdown on UK Jewry. Kabb Shabbat they came to @FinchleyReform for an incredibly moving service as our members and clergy met @CantorZoe @dbzyb Cantor Daniel Mutlu Rabbi Sarah Berman #FRSmeetsCENTRAL
Those who abuse the memory of the Holocaust—calling Israelis Nazis, comparing Gaza to a concentration camp, and even photoshopping Palestinian flags onto Anne Frank’s image—are now silent as Jews are attacked on the very streets where she once lived and was murdered.
The more you attack Jews on the streets of Europe in the name of Palestine, the more you destroy our synagogues, the more you deny our history and humanity, the more we will believe Israel must exist.

Seeing my Jewish neighbours and friends shrink into themselves as antisemitism rears it’s head again on our shores is heart wrenching. Years now we have trumpeted the righteousness of protecting our nations minorities. We need to remember that need for all as the world hardens.
