A lot of people who like to call TVNZ fake news and spread bullshit and hate seem really upset they’ve decided to stop using this platform because they should apparently be allowed to just say what they want and TVNZ just sit back and take it 🤷🏼‍♂️

Kia ora. Have you submitted on the treaty principles bill? You have until 1pm today. Less than two hours to go. parliament.nz/en/ECommitteeS…

I think my favourite thing today was seeing a known horrible NZer, an alt right regular so confused that their followers were supporters of Andrew Tate whom they dislike. Will it make them stop and wonder about why their followers and his overlap? Probably not but it is funny.

Just got my first “we need your details to deliver a package” spam texts of the year. Haven’t had one in months - it’s just like old times, when the world was a lot simpler (early 2024).

Waiting for the cops to swoop in on Under Armour now! Or doesn’t need to be worn by a preteen of colour first? This is the problem with poorly written laws rushed through because of ideology and not research or data backed - I can’t tell when they’re meant to work!

My New Year’s resolution for 2025 is no 2025 resolutions or predictions… Oh bugger, I may have just created a causal paradox loop.

Ignore this sort of thing, we only have two more days until cheesy photos from coalition MPs of their families in matching pyjamas!

I was hoping the 90s nostalgia push we have going on at the moment ended with bringing back the kiwi burger. Not with Ruthenasia and the recession which allowed National to gut everything they touched and hurt so many people with callous lack of empathy.

Did you know you can just walk in and see our most important documents whenever you like? He whakaputanga, te Tiriti o Waitangi and the Women’s suffrage petition, all amazing taonga, all available for us to see anytime (well anytime the National library is open)

Wow 35 whole cents an hour for minimum wage increase next year. How generous in this cost of living crisis/recession.

Hmm we could have had larger, cheaper, rail enabled ferries or smaller, more expensive, non rail enabled ferries but the party of business clearly knows best 🤦🏼‍♂️

I’ve often wondered why people who feel the need to say they have common sense in their profiles on here follow up with hateful BS, like somehow one is connected to the other like hating people, and othering them is common sense.

Looking for Coalition inspired Christmas gifts? I’m sure there’s a few around 🤔

I know some people get grumpy when Christmas creeps into November but it has been a pretty tough year for a lot of people, maybe cut those enjoying a little early Christmas spirit a bit of slack and find something positive to celebrate as well :)

Brian Tamaki using his right to freedom of expression to protest people using their right to freedom of expression by waving flags he doesn’t like is peak 2024 dumbest timeline vice signalling.

What could possibly go wrong after one party leader last week tried to dictate what the media’s job was and the government banning a reporter from covering an event they’ve been reporting on for 8 years. Nothing bad ever happens when politicians influence media after all…
