Regrettably many of us have faced the detrimental effects of systemic discrimination in the form of #Islamophobia while studying, & working at the U of S (@usask) This must stop. The Muslims' voice & advocates on campus must no longer be silenced or ignored. @UsaskPresOffice
Muslim students @usask have been denied adequate religious accommodations for the holy month of Ramadan which is one of the 5 pillars of Islam. We have voiced our disappointment & concern with @usask_AES and their attempts to dictate to Muslims how we should practise our religion
This is not the 1st time Muslim students at the University of Saskatchewan have faced challenges of institutional Islamophobia. Our ongoing work alongside @ChaplainMuslim to serve the campus Muslim community will continue so as long as Islamophobia continues to exist at @usask.
