I see they are scrambling to find accommodation for the newly arriving asylum seekers, now using army bases. Why doesn't the government understand we don't have space for these people? Take a step back and look at the insanity of this. No other country in the world would do this.
Why don't more people question the "independence" of the bank of England? If a government says it will raise taxes then it will be voted out but the bank of England can raise interest rates so banks can steal hundreds of pounds extra each month with no democratic accountability.
The 1 in 1 out asylum deal makes no sense. This deal assumes you can deport someone just because someone else enters the country. This means their asylum claim is irrelevant, in other words doesn't have a bearing, in which case you should be able to deport everyone who enters.
I love it when people say immigrants/asylum seekers wouldn't take the difficult journey across the channel in a dinghy if there were safe and legal routes. Isn't taking a ferry across a safe and legal route?

Can anyone explain how the UK who apparently has no legal claim to the Chagos Islands can hand them over to Mauritius but the Chagossians have no say? This makes absolutely no legal sense and why isn't the UK paying the Chagossians to have a base on their land?
What I don't understand about the Chagos Island deal is if the UK doesn't have the legal right to them, how do we have the legal right to give them to another country?
Inflation up because of higher domestic bills and now they are saying less interest rate cuts because of this. When is someone in parliament going to call out this complete nonsense. When bills go up interest rates should go down. Inflation is NOT CAUSED BY THE MONEY SUPPLY.

So the UK will lend Ukraine 2.7 billion. Why doesn't the Ukrainian central bank lend the Ukrainian government 2.7 billion? Because it's not allowed to. The bankers are in charge. This is all a pantomime.
