Not to mention, it’s one of the few true professions that require neophytes to jump right in and be expected to perform immediately. This doesn’t apply to newly trained lawyers, doctors, engineers, etc.
Why do we set unrealistic expectations for all teachers to be great? Yes, we can all improve, but is there another profession that has this expectation or an obsession in measuring it? Teachers are already their own worst critic. Let’s celebrate their talents, dedication & heart
