We are at the Amherst Bike Path one more Tuesday—this Tuesday, May 14. Our happy hour right after our workout is still at Amherst Ale House, 55 Crosspoint Parkway, Getzville this Tuesday, May 14. We make our triumphant return to Williamsville East on May 21.
Reminder: @CheckersAC Track workouts for the next three weeks (April 30, May 7 and 14), will be at UB by the Amherst Bike Path.
Our annual meeting is this Tuesday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 97 in the Alumni Arena building. Please park in the Alumni Arena lot. Group run before the meeting at 5:00. We will be meeting at the entrance to Alumni Arena closest to the stadium and Alumni Arena parking lot.
Just a heads up that our next group run is coming up Sunday, March 24 at 10 a.m. in the main parking lot at Beaver Island State Park. But it’s not just a group run! We’ll also have an Easter egg hunt with fun surprises in the eggs.

The annual @CheckersAC holiday party is on for Friday, January 19 at the beautiful Wurlitzer building at 908 Niagara Falls Boulevard in NT. The party kicks off at 6 p.m. & will feature salad, pasta, hand-carved beef station. There will also be a cash bar. $25.

Tuesday, Oct 24 at 6:00 p.m.: The Annual Checkers Awards Banquet at the Main Transit Fire Department, 6777 Main St, in Williamsville. We’ll be dishing out awards a’plenty, including the prestigious Tom Steele award. Pizza, salad, pop, wine, and beer will be provided.
Wednesday, October 18 at 6:15 p.m.: Kim Kalman’s Board Group Run. We’ll be meeting at 1730 Bush Road on Grand Island. Please bring any clothing or sneakers you’d care to donate for the Friends of The Night People.

The Tom Donnelly Hall of Fame race, which starts near Bidwell Parkway, is this Friday, September 1, at 6:30 p.m. We need about 50 volunteers to help with traffic control. If you're not running, please consider lending a hand. You'll need to be there between 5:00 & 5:30pm.
Just a reminder that our next group run is tonight at 6:00! We’ll be meeting near the Creekside Drive entrance to Ellicott Creek Park. The route is a 3.56-mile out and back on the bike/walking/running path that goes by the famed Bark Park.

This Tuesday, July 25 at 6:00: The 2nd Annual Battle of Buffalo Relay at Adam's Field, 1299 Parker Avenue, Tonawanda. Come and help Checkers defend its Battle of Buffalo title versus the Greater Buffalo Track Club (GBTC) and the Bunny Gang. The Battle is a one-mile relay.

Tomorrow at 6:00 p.m., Tom Droz will be hosting our next group run at 12 Gates Brewing Company, 80 Earhart Drive Williamsville. We’ll be running with the Gatekeepers Running Group. There are 3- and 5-mile routes and discounted craft beers will be available afterwards.
