Yesterday was World Book Day and the students have been celebrating all week with different activities such as a Spelling Bee, a Book Tasting Café, Book Treasure Hunt, quizzes, creating their own Manga comics, and the list goes on. The students have thoroughly enjoyed.
We are a few weeks into First Story now and the students are having an amazing time creating some incredible pieces of writing. Really looking forward to seeing what they put together @FirstStory @chelseaacademy
Scholastic Book Fair back at Chelsea Academy with their wonderful selection of books and journals for our students to purchase.
The amazing First Story Writers Workshop returns to CA this October. If your child is in Y7, please encourage them to sign up. The programme focuses on developing their creative writing skills & at the end of it, they will have the privilege of having their work published.
What an amazing evening, celebrating the achievements of these wonderful year 7s at the First Story book launch. So proud to see their incredible pieces of writing be published for all the world to read.

A group of students visited Greenwich University for a First Story Connect trip last week. The students had a brilliant time engaging in workshops & produced some excellent writing! It was a great opportunity for them to share their work with writers & students from other schools
Our lovely EAL students were thrilled to visit Madame Ts on Friday. They came face to face with celebrities, enjoyed the Marvel 4D cinema & had an exhilarating ride on the Spirit of London. Thanks so much to @JackPetchey for their generous support & for making this trip possible

To celebrate World Book Day. We have the privilege of hosting two author events by two extremely talented writers. Toni Langley will be hosting a virtual event just for us on Mon the 6th March at 9.00am and Anika Hussain will be coming to us in person on Wed 8th of March at 11am.
