And this is why abortion is healthcare. Even here, in pro-choice Washington, it can be hard to access this kind of care at religiously-affiliated hospitals. Abortion is healthcare - life or death healthcare - for women.
It was hard to process what I was being told – it happened w/dizzying speed. Learning I was pregnant. Learning that the pregnancy was no longer viable. And learning that I needed an emergency abortion.
