While chasing India's youngest-ever GM title, Gukesh & coach Vishnu Prasanna often dug into @AlexHonnold's free solo feats - for lessons in singularity of focus - to push ahead no matter how crazy the goal. Today, @DGukesh becomes 6th Indian to cross 2700 ELO. What a climb!

Ding Liren V/S Hikaru Nakamura: 1-0 Ding played a near-perfect game today to beat Nakamura. In a level-looking endgame, Ding found all the right moves to put Naka under pressure, and force him to make mistakes. Hikaru had to give up a piece, and he resigned on move 58.
As things stand right now, @MagnusCarlsen has time until July 20th to announce his decision on who he will play for a World Championship. Whoever he decides to play, what an amazing Candidates has this been! What was your favorite moment of #FIDECandidates 2022? Comment below.
Ding Liren finished 2nd with 8/14, a result that has extra significance in this event. Teimour Radjabov finished 3rd with 7.5/14. Here are the final standings: candidates.fide.com/crosstable 📸- Stev Bonhage/FIDE
Candidates 2022 Final round: Ian Nepomniachtchi destroys the field with 9.5/14, Ding Liren finishes second Even though a clear winner was decided in round 13, the final round was a very exciting day featuring 3 decisive games. Here's a quick recap of round 14, the final round:
The final round will start tomorrow at 6:30 PM IST. While the winner is decided before the final round, the 2nd place holder will be decided tomorrow. Who do you think will be 2nd?
