The engine can tell you the best moves, but it won't explain the plans. Unless you know how to make it. Here's the technique GM Eugene Perelshteyn showed me:
"Demis Hassabis has always extolled the benefits of gaming and has described it as a gateway to AI after, as a chess prodigy, he became interested in how chess computers learn to play the game." theguardian.com/science/2024/o…
Added a bunch more openings to my Every Opening and Why You Should Play it thread
There's a lot of information on how to play openings, but less on which openings you should play and why. So without further ado... Every Opening and Why You Should Play It (I'll be adding to this, so bookmark if you want to come back to it)
My top 12 World Champions of all time (random order)! Agree or disagree? 🤔 Who would you add or remove? @FIDE_chess @ECUonline
Mindboggling stuff, showing the depths of modern opening preparation...
♟️New Ideas in the Opening The revolutionary idea of the Niemann-Kramnik team. Recently, Italian makes a claim to dethrone the Ruy Lopez as the best White system after 1.e4 e5. But only this new idea seems to actually manage to do it! What's that? Let's see🧵👇
I hate it when this happens! No learning opportunities at all. Such a waste of time.
The only drawing move is Kb4!! The king needs to get closer, but also White needs to be able to give lots of checks down the c-file.
From my Botvinnik analysis... White thinks they are attacking, but can you give them a rude awakening?
This is an interesting Rook Endgame position. (Level: 2000+) White to play. Can they win the game?
The worst move of my life. Lane - Aagaard, Budapest 2002. I played 20...Qb6+.
White to play. What to do about your trapped Knight?
White to move and win! ✅
