Does the US military too rigidly equate PME with formal schooling? @ChesterfieldO5 makes a good case for sustained self study through platforms like @FTGNotebook and @covetweet

PME is like PT for the brain. Shouldn't we champion and incentivize intellectual growth outside of formal training the same as we do for people who excel physically? fromthegreennotebook.com/2024/06/19/pro…

Pretty good edition of AJDSS... especially around page 353. 😉 Australia is walking along a strategic tightrope in Antarctica, balancing science on one hand, and diplomacy on the other. Its approach is simple but disconcerting; ‘don’t look down’. 🇦🇶 🇦🇺 defence.gov.au/sites/default/…

A solid counter to my review ripping apart Harold Coyle’s book ‘Team Yankee’. It is still, in every sense, a terrible book. But Kim O’Grady writes well and raises some valid points beyond those of the butt-hurt boomers who rushed to Coyle’s defence. cove.army.gov.au/article/defenc…

Today I handed over as Commanding Officer of 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment ‘Old Faithful’. It’s been an honour to lead @AustralianArmy soldiers of 3 RAR. It’s time now to support my beautiful wife and kids as we battle breast cancer together. K9 out. #DutyFirst

‘Team Yankee’. Terrible book. I hated it. Read why here.

First they came for the nouns, but I didn’t use caps because I wasn’t a noun, Then they came for the verbs, but I didn’t use caps because I wasn’t a verb, Then they came for the adjectives… but I wasn’t an adjective, Then they came for me and nothing was left in lower case.
