ELPC's @LenaGReynolds led a field trip biking the lakefront trail to @ChicagoParks Northerly Island with @ChicagoSafe & @NPCA. We heard about shoreline resilience amid a changing climate, clean transportation as climate action, and connecting diverse communities with nature.
Chicago’s newest neighborhood bikeway is already bustling! The Berwyn Greenway connects to the Lakefront Trail and community destinations like local businesses and the Berwyn CTA station. CDOT will expand it west in 2025. @the48thward

We had an amazing time leading a cycling program at Bret Harte Elementary! Over 4 weeks, we taught beginners to ride and helped experienced riders sharpen their skills. Big thanks to @OutrideBike for their support through the Riding for Focus program, providing bikes and helmets!

A new school year means new, safer ways to get to school! CDOT is enhancing pedestrian safety with upgrades like raised crosswalks at Saucedo Academy in Little Village and curb bump-outs at Nash Elementary in Austin, making walks to school safer and easier for families.
