There is no question that the failure of the federal government to effectively handle the #COVID19 response has left local school boards with difficult choices on #ReopeningSchools. Everyone wants to #REOPENSCHOOLS, but we have a responsibility to public health and #safety.
There’s chaos in much of the nation on school opening, with no reliable guidance from the federal government, and the almost unbelievable failure to have executed policies (especially mass production of quick and reliable tests) that could have made safe school openings possible.

Our personnel are clearly marked as federal LEOs & have unique identifiers. You will not see names on their uniforms b/c these same violent criminals use this information to target them & their families, putting both at risk. As Acting Commissioner, I will not let that happen!
