Winter Weather Warning has been issued through Monday, Feb. 15 at 12 p.m. Sunday afternoon and night a robust system is forecasted to arrive and bring total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Temperatures are expected to drop into single digits with wind chills near zero.
A strong cold front and upper level low will move through late Saturday night through Sunday night. As cold air moves in behind the front, a rain/snow mix is possible with amounts of 0.25 to around 1.00 inch is possible. No accumulation of snow is likely in Bastrop County.

Bastrop County COVID positivity rate is in the green for the past week at 4.7% thanks to the diligence of the community. OEM encourages all to continue following CDC guidelines of wearing masks, social distancing, and continued hand washing.
Effective at 4 PM today a County-Wide Burn Ban will go into effect. We just didn’t get enough rain to put a dent in this drought we are in and with the winds today it will quickly dry things out. More winds are expected Sunday and then we will stay in a dry weather pattern.
