Rotten Tomatoes Adds New ‘Verified Hot’ Audience Badge for Fan-Approved Movies
Rotten Tomatoes, the popular review aggregate site, has announced a new distinction with the audience-awarded Verified Hot.
Welcome @codymonster91, @DanielGorman20, @dodgyboffin, and @zacharoni22 to the Chicago Film Critics Association! The talent on display is immense!
Air lost a ton of money (because Amazon way overpaid for it, that's another story). Poor Things made $117 million on a sub-$40 million budget. It was a hit. Not the right films to use to make this point.
I think the smaller movies, and their audiences, will come back, it will just take more time. Habits changed, but habits can change back, gradually. The reason Air succeeded where Poor Things didn’t is because it was more mainstream and accessible.
Been thinking about that horrible wooden man for months!
ODDITY is the real deal. The type of sparse, dreadful, horror that was common in the 70s but is exceedingly rare now. Legit jumped a few times, left feel uneasy. Highly rec. See it in a theater.

I rue the day I read @Cinesnark point out the fact that my hot Scottish king James McAvoy snot cries/dies in every movie. I mean, he’s still hot and a great actor, but there’s always the snots. 🫠🥰

There is an alternate universe where Glen Powell is on SNL as a Darryl Hammond-level impressionist, am convinced.
Disney eyeing them and them being interested are two different things.
