Over the last two years, the City has permitted more than twice as many homes per year as the previous two decades. That progress is helping tackle the housing shortage and more San Diegans find an affordable home. Next, we’ll focus on adding the family-sized homes we’re missing.

City crews continue to repair and resurface roads across San Diego! A well-traveled and badly damaged segment on Nobel Drive, between Villa La Jolla Drive and the I-5 South on-ramp, is now safer and smoother after receiving a much-needed repaving by our in-house teams.🙌

🥳 Our Affordable Housing Permit Now program has permitted over 4,500 homes in San Diego since 2023. Each qualified, 100% affordable project was reviewed in less than 30 days – averaging closer to 10 days - getting shovels in the ground faster. Read more: insidesandiego.org/city-san-diego…
