Old trash bins aren’t going to waste; they’re getting a second life. At our Miramar facility, bins are chipped on site and sent to Rehrig Pacific to be remade into new products. By next summer, more than 750,000 bins will be recycled into something new.

Streetlights in Uptown are shining thanks to local parking meter funds. When you pay a meter, that money stays in the neighborhood to support upgrades like this. Since late September, more than 40 streetlights have been repaired in the Uptown Parking District. #sandiegoatwork
