Today we learned about Dia de los Muertos! Students created a sugar skull and included facts about the celebration underneath. ๐
I love starting the school year reading Our Class is a Family. After the read aloud, we discussed what makes our class a family and how we can support one another. ๐ ๐ฉท
First week of school โ 3-7 had a great week! We worked together in groups to see who could make the longest paper chain using 1 piece of construction paper. We also got to know more about one another with our beach ball ice breaker!

Today was letter K for our ABC countdown. K for Kindness day! We rotated around the classroom writing kind things about each of our classmates.
We published a book! After learning how to write an informational essay, each student chose an animal to research and write about. We were SO excited for this package to come in the mail! ๐
3-6 students chose an animal to research and then created a diorama showing their habitat. I have loved listening to their presentations!

One of my favorite Thanksgiving activities to do in the classroomโฆ disguising turkeys! This always brings out studentsโ creativity!
3-6 had a blast at Peace Valley Nature center! We got to check out many different habitats and learned how insect eggs survive through the cold seasons!
