It's been a while! To make up for our absence, please enjoy this at least DOUBLE length episode on Ancient Apocalypse, feat. carbon dating, Star Guy, and literally so much shit talking. Suffice to say we were a little mad. classicallytrainedpod.podbean.com/e/episode-twen…

I’m scrambling and travelling today so before I forget to tweet… happy lady day! I’m perpetually thrilled and honoured to be amongst so many other women podcasting the ancient world and beyond. We’re awesome. (Please tag more! And I’m sorry if I forget anyone, it is very early!)

A real promo is incoming but until then! Today’s episode is with @Julia_M_Perroni all about Alcman’s First Partheneion! A little more Sparta… as a treat! Linktr.ee/mythsbaby

Typically 2-3 hours to record (including faffing-about time), 6ish hours to edit (depending on length of recording), and then however long it takes to consume the media in question. If we do extras, those take half an hour to an hour to make look nice and post.

Podcasters: how many hours goes into the making of just one of your episodes? I think you should tell your listeners. I bet they have no idea.

Julia is currently fighting for her life to get this month's episode out on time, but we have three hours of raw audio. We'll see...

TW: Sexual harassment It's time for what is apparently an annual need to alert everyone that the History of Ancient Greece is starting to produce content again. The creator is known for sending sexually inappropriate messages to women in classics (Thread to follow)

One last episode squeaking in before we tip over to the new year: a Doctor Who Special! Sort of. It's just a regular episode. But we've got Romans! Picts! More Romans! A really bland take on a Minotaur! And a little foreshadowing for next year's first ep! classicallytrainedpod.podbean.com/e/episode-nine…
