At least we have a picture of the lovely library display. Excellent books, would recommend.

Our Latin and Classics kids had a great time meeting @dcsandbrook today and discussing Cleopatra and Alexander the Great. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture! Such brilliant books.

Students loved painting their own mini black figure vases yesterday. Many thanks to @classarch for their brilliant pottery resources. So helpful in scaffolding the tasks.

We’re finally ready to go for Open Evening. Here’s tonight’s Latin and Classics display, featuring some of last year’s Ovid in the West Country entries.

Last week the Yr8 Latin group started their journey through the new 5th Edition @Caecilius_CLC book. They are already in love with Lucia and Barbillus. Many thanks to @StevenHuntClass for his excellent training.

Our Yr 7 Students had a fabulous time on Monday experiencing Ovid’s tales, as told by @DanielMorden3 They left feeling so inspired to start on their @SWclassicshub Ovid in the West Country entries.

This is such a great opportunity. Even though we have already set up a Classics Club, we’ll be attending to make sure we’ve got everything covered and have the best resources to make Classics thrive at Campden.

We still have spaces available on our FREE online SW teachers' workshop: 'How to Set Up a Classics Club'. If you or any colleagues are thinking about setting up a Classics Club at KS3, we'll provide all the helpful advice and resources you need to get started!

Many thanks to the brilliant @crewsproject for their fabulous Ancient Greek writing resources. Classics Club really enjoyed the videos and resources and they’ve all managed to write their names- and in some cases all the names of everyone in their family- in Ancient Greek.

Great to see teachers and students really engaging with @Caecilius_CLC The clear vocabulary progression in the book really helps student progression.

Such a great @ClassicsCcs #Latin lesson yesterday with Y7 teaching the ‘Nominative’ and ‘Accusative’ cases 🙌🏼 I was apprehensive (as an English teacher😳) but they really ‘GOT’ it🎉 Thoroughly enjoyable all round #senseofachievement @classicsforall

#Conservation happening today as we work on the condition assessment for our corridor mosaic! We compare the condition of each tile today to high res photos so we can see changes each year - open up the photo fully to see how we have created a montage of our mosaic to work from.

Classics Club thoroughly enjoyed making mosaics last night. As you can see- some went Roman and some tried something a bit more modern!
