Posting a job ad and headhunting are very different. Both are tools in a toolbox of options to fill your talent needs. The key is knowing when to use which one.
One bad news and you feel paralysed - Happens when you solely focus on the outcome. One bad news - you review, improvise and move on. Happens when you focus on the process. Fall in love with the process, you’ll progress, even if it’s at a steady pace.
Just bc the market pays a certain amount, does NOT make it equitable. This goes for both overpay and underpay.
