I feel that people who say things like 'stop making autism your entire personality' have fundamentally misunderstood what autism is. Autism is my neurotype, folks, it's my brain, it literally impacts and shapes every single way that I experience and interact with the world.

re: practicing information literacy, let's use this recent event as an example: earlier this morning, i heard that ao3 was down. i checked ao3, saw that it was down for me, and checked the ao3 status twitter account to make sure that it wasn't just on my end.

I wish more non-autistic people knew and believed that autistic people who can seemingly do a lot of things - like work, socialise and clean - may truly need to rest after doing them, may not be able to do them in quick succession, and may sometimes not be able to do them at all.
