The best things for developing your abs are heavy compound movements and clean eating. Minimising stress is key too, try yoga or meditation

Big compound movements give you the most 'bang for your buck' when your goal is fat loss, strength or muscle building, like the squat!

Variety in your training is very important. That doesn't necessarily mean different exercises, it could mean longer sets or less rest.

Is fat loss your aim? Maintaining as much muscle as possible is crucial, the more muscle you keep, the higher your metabolic rate will be

Try taking a stopwatch with you in the gym and time your rest. For hypertrophy 60-90 seconds in between sets is optimal

Reps aren't everything, the cruicial part is TUT, Time Under Tension. 8 reps at 5 seconds each is much better than 8 reps at 2 seconds each

Don't like drinking water? Try adding a lemon, lime or both for some flavour. It's also great for you

Green tea is a great addition for fat loss and a cleaner, healthier body

Eating plenty of green veg promotes an alkali environment in your body, which makes it difficult for illness and disease to develop

Training with someone can help you push through plateaus and keep your training varied

Try mixing up the training you do. The more you enjoy it, the more likely you are to keep it up and progress yourself

Weight loss usually means muscle loss and a drop in metabolism. Fat loss does what it says, whilst making you leaner and boosting metabolism

'Bad knees' or a 'bad back' doesn't have to be something you need to put up with. It's likely it could be a muscular imbalance, ask for info

Sometimes there are stresses that can't be avoided, today I had one of those days so I went for yoga. Much more relaxed, try it!

Weights doesn't have to be your main focus. Go off how you look and how your clothes feel. You could try progress pictures too

7 day training week, overtraining what? No, there's only under eating. You gotta work hard to be the best!

Sunday training is always the best, it's when everyone else gives up and you get the place to yourself. Average or champion, your choice.

Writing my sessions before I train has been the greatest benefit to my training. I know exactly where I am and where to aim for. Try it out

Number 1 priority before anything else is a good breakfast. It should be your biggest meal and be high in protein and fat

Eating clean doesn't have to be bland. Spices like ginger, coriander and garam masala taste great and are great for your body. Try it!
