Brett Favre is suing people who accurately described how he misappropriated money because Mississsippi does not have an anti-SLAPP statute. Rich people really like suing people who hurt their feelings, and you should be wary of people who want to make it easier.

Now it makes sense why she is making these comments now. Didn't even know Phoebe Bridgers had a defamation suit against her and she filed an anti slapp suit in Feb 2022 and the hearing was back in August. As always pinch of salt... I don't have PACER yet. nme.com/news/music/pho…
There is no value in bringing frivolous defamation lawsuits in order to try to get discovery that has nothing to do with the meritless case in hopes of embarrassing the defendant. That's hot steaming garbage. Attitudes like this are why we need federal anti-SLAPP.
He’s probably correct on both points. But he ignores the value of the process - Vinman is a highly questionable actor that no one has exposed. Discovery in such a case could expose an agenda - and a network of “like-minded” fellow travelers he “works” with.

This is an important case that the Supreme Court may take up. Without it, I will be rendered less powerful to protect the right to protest.
We are urging the California Supreme Court to take up an important free-speech case after an appeal court issued a decision that threatens to weaken anti-SLAPP protections. Read our amicus letter joined by 15 other organizations. firstamendmentcoalition.org/wp-content/upl…
