Today, I’ll finish Ch 9: Lists on Boot.dev. I just learned what Tuples are. Coming from C++, I’m used to using structs, so this is an interesting concept. I learned Tuples are also in C++, but I can’t imagine when I would realistically use it. Has anyone? #BootDev


Now that I’ve graduated, I’m working towards my first role in tech, specifically games. Everyday I’m learning and trying to make myself more hirable. Networking is the biggest thing I’m working on though, but I’m so shy.


#Devtober Day 30 - Added more enemies to the level - Fixed some bugs Tomorrow is the final day! I had a lot of fun learning with this prototype! I will definitely be working on this game for a couple more days while I put together a page for it and add it to my portfolio.😄


#Devtober Day 29 - Added SFX to drones using 3D audio - Updated drone overriding interaction SFX and Music are pretty loud right now. I will definitely tweak that. But for now this game dev is sleepy. Time for bed! #gamedev #indiedev #unity3d #madewithunity


#Devtober Day 28 Went on a hunt for some sfx for the drones tonight. One sound in particular made me want to upgrade the overriding system to a “hold-to-interact” mechanic. I think that would feel more interactive/engaging. 🤔 Adding that to my last minute to-do list 🤣

Finished the last lab assignment for class this month! Now I wonder how much I can get done in these last 4 days of #Devtober?😆 If only I didn't have to go to work too hahaha


#Devtober Day 24!! - Added some lighting - Improved FOV visuals - Added a particle effect to guide player objective - Tweaked player and enemy speeds Next I want to make buildings between camera and player fade for a better view. #gamedev #indiedev #unity3d #madewithunity

#Devtober Day 21 Tonight I improved the main menu a bit, added the pause menu, and revisited the "restart" menu which is now the end screen. I've also decided to pause the level design since it'll take too much time and instead use a demo scene for now. 😌 #gamedev #indiedev

#Devtober Day 19 Back home from my vacation. Spent the last hour reviewing and updating my action plan on trello to get this prototype complete by the end of the month. 💃😄

Finishing a game even if it's not perfect is the goal this month! I'm learning so much by making mistakes. These daily updates will be nice to look back on. ☺️
