The problem with the Federal government is almost entirely the Congress. I think there should be some triggers in place that wipe out the house or the senate if they fail at something like passing a balanced budget or take the country beyond a certain debt to revenue limit.

100k employees have left the federal government. Salaries alone it will save the private sector 5 to 10 billion dollars a year. And the crazy thing is the government spends so much money we won’t even notice.
