We have received much needed rainfall: however, the boat ramp is still out of the river. The boat ramp will remain closed to boats requiring a trailer to load/unload. Only kayaks and hand loaded watercraft are allowed to use the ramp. #texasstateparks

Mae asks that if you take your pet out to hike be mindful of the hot temps. If the temp is 98 degrees, the rocks can be near 120 degrees. Here is an easy test. Put the back of your hand on a rock, if you can’t hold it there for 5 secondsit’s to hot for your pets paws. Hike safe!
