I’m always suspicious of any Alisons whose name is spelt wrong 😉 Pretty sure there are are always going to be the same number of deaths overall. And I think most people are keen on postponing theirs as long as possible ..
Lockdown does NOT save lives. It postpones deaths. You end up with the same number of deaths. You just prolong the crisis. Can this country stop being anti-science? We may as well be examining animal entrails.

Lockdown was never the solution. It was to buy time while preparing to control the pandemic without it. Measures in schools & workplaces, efficient testing & tracing. Get a sophisticated control system. Didn’t happen. Now we’re back in the same place again but without the hope 😔

This feels a bit too close for comfort ...
Nursing actively recruits people who are willing to sacrifice ease+high pay in exchange for the moral satisfaction of caring for people well, then places us in situations where it is impossible to provide that care. Then it asks why we are not resilient. We are morally injured.
