We would like to thank the Hull & East Riding Charitable Trust for their grant funding so we can continue helping individuals who are suffering from psychological distress. Without their support and all the other grant funders, we would not be able to do what we do.

They have been planning for years to close women's prisons (for all but the few worst cases e.g. Rose West) and reopening them as men's prisons. People didn't believe they would actually try it, but here we go. Welcome to #TwoTierJustice, another aspect of #TwoTierPolicing

We had an amazing time at @woodland_experi, hiking Winder, The Calf, and Dummacks, & enjoying archery with fellow veterans. It was the perfect break from the grind. Big thanks to the team 4 organising🌲🏹 #WoodlandXperience #Hull4Heroes
Extreme misogyny? I have no problem tackling crimes motivated by GENUINE & PROVEN extreme misogyny (rather than assuming extreme misogyny because the target is a woman & the initiator is a man) but the problem, Yvette Cooper , is this 👇

Facilitating an inclusive approach to working with domestic violence and abuse
We hope to share up to date research and facilitate discussions about fostering more inclusive approaches and solutions
A meta-analysis in @JAMAPsych of homeless people concluded that "Sex-specific approaches are needed, as male individuals experiencing homelessness had a higher prevalence of mental health disorders than female individuals".
New data demonstrates that the majority of people experiencing homelessness have mental health disorders, with current and lifetime prevalence generally much greater than that observed in general community samples. ja.ma/3zvifbd
The quote that women who kill are retaliating in response to their abuse/abuser needs to be vigourously challenged. A disturbing piece of journalism. itv.com/news/2024-02-2…
It's very encouraging to see @Cumbriapolice post this just hours before the UEFA Euro 2024 final. For every two female victims of domestic abuse, there is one man. Some men will experience abusive partners tonight and most of them will be female. @AbuseCumbria @ManKindInit
