Unexpected kindness: Blankets, blankets, blankets, given many blankets because the hospital is so cold. Sometimes they are warmed.


Unexpected kindnesses: Scott, the unit nurse, called operator so I could make a long distance call to let me daughter know I was ok.


Unexpected kindnesses: Blood work nurse was very gentle. And quick.


Unexpected kindnesses: Registration nurse Debbie made sure I knew where I was in the list for treatment. She was very comforting.


Unexpected kindnesses: The insurance checker gave me a warm blanket and put it around my shoulders.


Hospice patients and families have felt very vulnerable for a long time. Supporting them and offering our help is our privilege.
