Variables play an important part in programming. Today we have been using our coding skills to create sprites which fall down from random points at the top of the screen!
After the Christmas break we always have an Online Safety recap in Computing lessons so we can enjoy any new devices safely. At NPS we THINK SMART!
Lockdown 3 Day 2: As the first Lockdown 3 weekend approaches, the North East has been blanketed in a light dusting of snow. At least the lockdown traffic means the journey won't be as hard for the teachers and key workers still travelling to school!
Lockdown 3 Day 1: So impressed with the way all staff, children and families have resumed Online Learning this week! All running smoothly thanks to an excellent team!

Lockdown Superstars #2: LS in Year 6 Using @FlipaClip to complete his lesson on devising our own questions to ask during a Turing Test!
I'm going to start Tweeting examples of the fantastic things NPS children are producing in lockdown! Firstly, a Year 6 completed their PSHE work on planning an environmentally friendly shopping centre and then chose to build it in @Minecraft! Wow! @PlayCraftLearn
As Year 6 aren't able to visit @StudentsNCL @computingncl for their Turing Tumble workshop this year, today we are recreating the trip virtually using videos and online simulators!
Just want to say a massive "Thank You" to all NPS parents and staff for enabling our lockdown learning to be so successful. By working together we've so far managed to provide a full timetable of online lessons on @MicrosoftTeams with almost 100% pupil engagement!
Massive thanks to @computingncl and Dr Nick Cook for delivering a fantastic Networking and Binary workshop on Thursday. Year 5 really enjoyed pretending to be various components of the internet and loved transmitting binary messages to each other! 💻📱
