Ensure E-Safety posters are clearly displayed around the school and get children to research and create their own E-Safety posters using ICT

QR scanner code apps are great for taking learning outdoors. Codes can be distributed around the field for pupils to scan and do activities

Pic Collage is an app that allows children to create collages, story boards and mood boards. It's a creative tool that supports learning.

With the increase in children using social media it is vital to teach E-safety. For KS1, soft material such as books can be effective.

Teach children how to evaluate and be critical of information they find online using the 6 key criteria:

Computing technology can be phenomenal but also toxic to children if we do not educate them on how to use it effectively and appropriately
Pupils should be taught to understand what algorithms are; how they are implemented as programs on digital devices - KS1. Tool: Bee bots

"Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important" Bill Gates
Computing Education is creative and allows pupils to become digitally literate
