Rice is love, rice is life. Why do you be hating rice?

This is Whitechapel in London. Sainsbury’s decided to put out a loss leader: £9.50 for a sack of basmati rice. The idea is that people came and bought rice, along with other things. But no, they just came and bought rice, rice and more rice.

World War can be broken down into various calculus problems. Especially when you look into the military art/science. Even the political angle can be explained by socio-economics... which in turn can be illustrated by calculus.

"Advances in a war of attrition are NOT linear." This phrase reminds me of a (completely) different topics, back during the COVID time. A Singaporean e-newspaper estimated that Viet Nam would need at least a decade to fully vaccinate our ~100M pop. We just needed 6mth

Its wild to me that these so-called "Experts" still haven't grasped the concept of attritional warfare. Advances in a war of attrition are NOT linear. The goal is to wear down your enemy to the point where he cannot fight anymore. Only then will the "Big-arrow" advances occur.…

So this is what they call "marching in the arms of the people"! What happens on the night of 29-4-2025 will be an unforgettable experience for every member of A509! Special thanks to @m9otomeza for marching with us and capturing this moment! #a509 #vietnam

Actually, it wasn't a lone tank. Tank 843 arrived first, got stuck in a side gate (3rd photo here show them a while later). Her commander jumped down the tank and became the first to raise NLF banner. In the same time, tank 390 crashed through the gate. It's the photo we now know

It’s noon on 30 April in Saigon. The North Vietnamese Army has almost completely taken the city. A lone PAVN tank crashes through the gates of the Presidential Palace and its crew raises the flag of the Viet Cong over the building. The Vietnam War is over.
