It's fun returning to a score and reminiscing over the decisions one's past self made. "Who would phrase that way?!?" Apparently, me.

Said the sad goodbye to the girlfriend today as I report to OCS. Step 2 in the "Jeff becomes a (music) soldier" saga is about to commence.

@MajorDShawBand Thanks for the follow, sir! Looking forward to serving with you once I get through OCS.

@tampamom @votevinay @fieldband And1000s of free public events & educational missions! For me, well worth the couple of tax bucks a year.

Christmas comes early for the girlfriend tonight. Treating her (and me!) to the @LyricOpera's Porgy and Bess!

Perhaps the best two-word combination: "Military Discount"

Survived @USArmy basic training! Time to get back to being a musician this Christmas Break!

Another quick update - Jeff's doing fine! The conversation was about 20 seconds long but all is well.

Update from Mira: Jeff has landed in Atlanta and awaiting the next step.

Off to basic training. I'm getting closer, @ArmyBands!

Just conducted an orchestra for the last time before basic training. Thanks for a memorable National Anthem, Battle Creek Symphony!

Passed my first @USArmy PT test! One step closer to basic training and the @ArmyBands

Nothing like insomniac situps.

Off to observe a rehearsal. Jamming in as much music as possible into my last 2.5 weeks as a civilian!
