Hey, fellow Twitter users with disabilities, what are your feelings on words like "differently abled" and "handi-capable"? Please RT!

Also from LRT “Maredith Drake, a 44-year-old mother and volunteer firefighter [...] said they fired at her despite the fact that she was wearing a firefighter shirt with a red and white medical cross, with another cross taped to her helmet.”

I’ve created a homeless resource guide for the entire city of Atlanta. This guide should have every resource a person struggling with homelessness could get. It also has coupons for things like tents, meals, coats, etc from local businesses. I’m super proud! Creating thousands.

I’m working on a state government level voter education article on the life (and sometimes death) of a bill, and this is what’s playing on loop in my head: m.youtube.com/watch?v=FFroMQ…

A few days ago I attended a talk at my university about the Uyghur people of China, given by a Uyghur herself. The whole thing shocked me:

This is the group I donated to. Theyre based in my state and are so close to their goal!!

When I tell you this is NEEDED for young black girls... i went to a white school and I remember being like 6 and having white girls make fun of my braids and calling me ugly. Representation matters and this warms my heart

This teacher, Ms. Bishop from Lakeview Elementary in Sugarland, Tx complimented one of her student’s hair saying she loved it, but the little girl didn’t believe her. The next day, the teacher came to school with her hair done the same as her student so cute!

This just made my day. I may not be a 3rd grade teacher, but this gets an A+ in my book!

Today my 9 year old was @MichelleObama for her 3rd grade Open House project. She was inspired by her work to make sure more kids go to college & #ReachHigher . She loves that Mrs Obama is brown & has hair like hers #ISawMyself

I haven't seen #SilentWitness but I wanted to share that, over here, policing and understanding disabilities is a very concerning issue, especially for already marginalized communities. mobile.nytimes.com/2017/09/19/opi… The follow-up piece is really important too. mobile.nytimes.com/2017/10/06/opi…

I just heard Helen Alli @AlliforVa speak to the Culpeper Democrats and was very impressed by her experience, community involvement, and commitment to affordable healthcare! If you're in Virginia's 7th, please check her out on here on Twitter, Facebook, or AlliForVa.com
