The UK Gov't made a choice at the Budget to push renters into more and more vulnerable situations, by freezing Local Housing Allowance. It is the wrong choice.

Outrageous that the Duchy of Cornwall is not only renting out 50 properties that fail to meet minimum energy efficiency standards, it's only applied for exemptions on 10 of them. Tenants need stronger rights to claim back rent on homes that fail basic standards

This “plight” of landlords commentary needs urgent context: thousands and thousands of young adults can’t afford to have children because they are living in expensive and unstable housing. That means fewer workers in the future will be paying NI for state support for pensioners!
