As promised, I contacted LAPD Chief Michel Moore's office directly to request an in-person meeting. I look forward to meeting with the Chief to discuss my and many other former Scientologists' concerns about Scientology and its relationship with the LAPD. @LAPDChiefMoore
Dreams Bahia Mita is amazing, but they closed outdoor dining for most restaurants during a pandemic surge. Not. Cool. My kid isn’t vaccinated. I’m not dining indoors. Open your patio at your restaurant that’s literally called “PATIO”!!! @DreamsBahiaMita
RT if you agree: It’s time to pass the Build Back Better Act and invest in our communities.
Good morning! RT if you think today would be a good day to eliminate the filibuster.
Republicans could trip over their own shoelaces and they’d still find a way to blame me, immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, the Green New Deal, BLM, anything but accept responsibility for their own actions and dealings. Ineptitude, bigotry, and corruption. Disasters in their own right.
Republicans don’t know how to govern. They only know how to blame Democrats for their own failures.
Texas Gov. Abbott blames solar and wind for the blackouts in his state and says "this shows how the Green New Deal would be a deadly deal for the United States of America"
Weak on sweeping next-gen public infrastructure investments, little focus on equity so communities are left behind, climate deniers in leadership so they don’t long prep for disaster. We need to help people *now.* Long-term we must realize these are the consequences of inaction.
Does the Republican Party believe in democracy or the Big Lie and conspiracy theories? That is what Republicans must decide. That is what is at stake.
Starting today and running through May 15, 2021, we are opening HealthCare.gov for all Americans to have the opportunity to sign up for health insurance. If you already have coverage, then help your family and friends sign up and enroll.
Trump attempted to seize the Presidency despite electoral defeat. He intimidated election officials, provoked a violent assault on the Capitol, and left Congress and the Vice President to the mob. His disgrace is total and his apologists in Congress are marked by history.
“The President was guilty of everything he was accused of...which is why I voted to acquit”
This is what the Big Lie is all about. Three months after the election, and 61 court decisions later, Trump and his attorneys still refuse to acknowledge that he lost the election. Pathetic.
Today, 15 Republican Senators chose not to attend Trump's trial. They should be held in contempt of Congress. Jurors in criminal trials cannot get up and leave the courtroom. If they did, they'd be held in contempt of court, and face possible fines and jail.
Unless Democrats can find a way to get a vote on HR 1, the GOP will gerrymander and voter suppress us out of existence. theatlantic.com/politics/archi…
The question isn’t: “why can’t President Biden find unity with Republicans?” The question is: “why can’t Republican politicians find unity with 83% of the American people?”
In my 40 years in Washington, I’ve seen few major government initiatives that have united the country as strongly as the American Rescue Plan.
RT if you think the minimum wage should be raised to $15/hour
Mitch McConnell, who refused to reconvene the Senate before January 19 to allow Trump's impeachment trial to start while he was still in office, just voted that it's unconstitutional to put Trump on trial because he's no longer in office.
Schoen is arguing both that this is a "snap impeachment" and also that Pelosi waited too long to transmit articles of impeachment. Keep in mind, McConnell, then Senate Majority Leader, refused to take up impeachment as quickly as was procedurally possible.
