Pacific Council Commissioner

@CouncilPacific

Another Camping Adventure, this time at Lake Wenatchee State Park

We need more Unit Commissioners. A Commissioner is a friend to Scout units, especially new units to help them achieve success. I know there is a lot of experienced scouters out there that would really good at helping.

Council Commissioners meeting tonight. Topics: re-charter, training, Key 3 highlights, Roundtable schedule and Commissioners re-taking their Oath.

Some of my fondest memories in Scouting was from Pinewood Derbies. facebook.com/groups/phcrain…

Hey Scouts, have you ever received feedback that “you need to be more Scout Like”? Frustrating? I’ll bet, since it didn’t come with any solid explanation or meaning. So, change your mindset, believe in yourself and in Scouting and others will believe in you. Let a Scout shine.

I love all the hype about President Bush and Ellen DeGeneres sitting together at a game. The bottom line message is to be kind. The 6th point of the Scout Law is to be kind, actually to be kind in everything and to everyone. Our Scouts know this. Are we practicing being kind?

Have you heard? There is a new requirement for all BSA Adult Volunteers. We ALL need to sign a form authorizing a background check. Read the disclosure, sign the form and turn it in with re-charter along with your Youth Protection certificate.

Hey Eagle Scouts, have you ever thought back on how many adults helped you along your Scouting Trail? How about giving back and helping other boys and girls become young men and young ladies. #ScoutsBSA #EagleScouts #GivingBack #PacificHarborsCouncil #GetInvolved

At PHC, we are focusing on recharter which is normal this time of year for all Councils. This is not the typical Scouting year. One very large issue facing our council is the loss of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints as a chartered partner. Are we reaching out?
