This burial ground at Farfield was granted to the fledgling local Quaker community in 1666 by Anthony Myers. After the Act of Toleration, this simple yet beautiful Quaker Meeting House was constructed in 1689.

Therefore, until the mid 18th century, the first month of the year was March, meaning that January really was the eleventh month and June really was the fourth month. 📷 Headstones that call January the eleventh month and June the fourth month.

Instead, these graves are a reminder that before the calendar reforms of 1751/2, New Year’s Day in Britain (excluding Scotland) was celebrated on March 25th, which was Lady Day (the Feast of the Annunciation). 📷 The graves from above - some refer to June as the fourth month

The grave that calls January the eleventh month commemorates Sarah Myers, who was the granddaughter of the founder of Farfield Quaker Meeting House, Anthony Myers.

The graves outside Farfield Quaker Meeting House in West Yorkshire at first seem rather confusing: one grave calls January the eleventh month and another calls June the fourth month. However, this wasn’t an error or a simple mistake.

If you spend 14yrs stripping away support for the Police, the NHS, Councils, Schools, Community Centres, Libraries, the Fire Service, Social Services etc then you get a society that's broken. Stop blaming migrants, blame the Tories, they broke Britain & we're all paying for it.

Person who has presumably voted Tory all his life is surprised that after years and years of Tory all his local amenities are shut.
