@Coxlabkcl

We are a research group, based in the Wolfson Centre for Age-Related Diseases and interested in all aspects of intestinal signalling, and nutrient sensing.

Our latest collaborative paper with Irene Miguel-Aliaga's group at the Francis Crick Institute, "Growth of the maternal intestine during reproduction", has now been published in @CellCellPress . doi.org/10.1016/j.cell…

Our latest collaborative paper has just been published on progesterone metabolite signaling via bile acid (GPBAR1/TGR5) receptors on L cells to release enteroendocrine hormones such as PYY. @WolfsonSPaRC @KingsCollegeLon doi.org/10.1152/ajpgi.…

We are now on Bluesky @coxlabkcl.bsky.social

The latest Cox Lab paper is now In press! The role of costimulated fatty acid receptors on L cells and subsequent PYY release in the effects of pinolenic acid and Intralipid. @WolfsonSPaRC @KingsCollegeLon @BBSRC eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%…

Well done to Dora on her first presentation of her PhD work! @WolfsonSPaRC @KingsCollegeLon @KCL_MRCDTP

It's been great presenting some of my PhD work I have done in the @Coxlabkcl so far at the #DTPSymposium2024 on Friday! Thank you to everyone who visited my poster for their feedback and encouragement! 👩‍🔬

So after a successful BSc project in the lab and a six week summer studentship project in @WolfsonCARD @KingsCollegeLon, Sara bids us farewell as she heads to UCL for her MSc. We said goodbye after lunch in the Friends Room at @TateModernSW!

Congratulations to Caryl Evans in our lab at @WolfsonCARD @KingsCollegeLon (with @soseiheptaresco) on her first publication, in which she investigated TRPV1 and TRPA1 signalling in mouse colon as part of her PhD, funded by @BBSRC and @LIDo_DTP sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Caryl Evans presented her work on GPR35 signalling in colonic epithelia yesterday at the WCP2023 in Glasgow. The work is part of her PhD in @WolfsonCARD @IOPPN @KCL, performed whilst on placement at @soseiheptares #WCP2023 #GPCR

Interested in intestinal GPCRs as targets for IBD therapy? An @The_MRC iCASE PhD project from Oct 2022 in the @Coxlabkcl ( @KingsCollegeLon, @KingsIoPPN) with @soseiheptaresco UK, will establish the efficacy of gut protective #GPCR ligands using in vitro/in vivo #colitis models.

Our latest paper on bile acids and stimulation of ileal and colonic mucosa is now available on open access onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11… @wileyinresearch

Lovely piece of work from John Furness' group in Melbourne: rdcu.be/8jyN

Our latest paper has just been published on FFA2 and FFA3 in the colonic mucosa: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.111…

Congratulations to our latest PhD student, Runisha Moodaley on the successful defense of her thesis!
