The #COVID19 pandemic globally is now more severe than ever. India’s surge of cases is tragic. We will not end this pandemic without working hand-in-hand with countries around the globe.

Among the millions affected by #COVID19 in #India, many will require medical supplies to keep them alive. Today, @thewhof launched the “#TogetherForIndia” appeal to support @WHO’s efforts to save lives in 🇮🇳. donate-covid19.india.who.foundation

COVID-19 spreads primarily through close person-to-person contact, which is far more common indoors. We should encourage more outdoor events where risk is lower, especially with so many people vaccinated. Let’s work to keep as many of our #ROC outdoor festivals open as possible.

I know pausing administration of the Johnson & Johnson #COVID19 vaccine has led to questions, esp. for those who recently received a J&J vaccine. We made this decision out of an abundance of caution & b/c of our commitment to protecting people, to vaccine safety, AND to science.

CDC Principal Deputy Director Dr. Anne Schuchat discusses future of Johnson & Johnson vaccine after pause due to blood clot concerns: "We want to get to the bottom of it and make sure we can protect people. The pandemic is serious.” gma.abc/32aGyqQ

The best vaccine is the one you can get. COVID-19 spreading through our community is a real threat. Our best protection against COVID-19 is to get vaccinated with the vaccines that are available. Check the appointment finder to get started. flvaccinehub.com/getting-your-v…

We have a small amount of Johnson and Johnson CoVid 19 vaccine for a clinic tomorrow not. Currently this is only for Cross Keys patients and is available by appointment only. Please call our office if you are interested!

There’s now a third safe COVID-19 vaccine, so we asked Dr. Fauci to walk us through the newly-authorized Johnson & Johnson option: The way it works, it’s effectiveness, and whether he’d take it himself. (The answer is yes!)
