This was called round-tripping in web1.0 and the fallout was bad then. These companies are probably amping up their political giving to avoid a similar fate this time around. Meanwhile, analysts can’t seem to understand the concept of revenue quality.
This is what happens when you “invest” with “credits” that allow you to goose your own revenues. As long as that is allowed, expect it to continue and expect way more. And expect a massive mess in the end.
