Throwback Thursday to 1975! 📸✨ The year the Library introduced polaroid photo ID for students (6,334 student members) and was open 7 days a week – both for the very first time. This was a groundbreaking move at the time. Fast forward to today, and look how far we’ve come! 🚀

#OnThisDay 80 years ago, PM John Curtin visited Kent Street State School for Citizenship Day, on the same street as the future site of Curtin University's campus. Curtin called on students to fulfill the better future Australia was fighting for. ow.ly/Axi650TJlFO

Two prime ministers: a newly re-digitised image from our collection: Prime Minister John Curtin (our namesake!) being met by the High Commissioner Stanley Bruce in London in April or May 1944. Bruce was PM in the 1920s and a former political opponent of Curtin's.
