And now the Sunday Times reporting he was briefed on previous links but still appointed …if true, questions over PMs judgement will persist and it becomes less likely he’ll lead Labour in next election. PM / Labour need to get a grip quickly.
I have to say: Good. The PMs most significant impact could well be re-enforcing standards and expectations of those in public life. Peter Mandelson sacked for saying Epstein’s first conviction was wrong, minister says – UK politics live theguardian.com/politics/live/…

Absolutely!
This is no way to treat the leader of a country being pummelled by Russia. It’s quite upsetting. Trump and Vance gang up on Zelensky. No way for leaders to behave. Trying to intimidate Zelensky. Vance attacks Z then accuses him of disrespect because he answers back.
Horrible to see a man who chose to stay in his country to fight a bully and for the freedom of his country be treated with such utter disrespect by two men whose lives are gilded in privilege. Shame on them.
Well done @SophyRidgeSky
In journalism it's important to reflect both sides of an argument, to listen, to try and understand nuance and different perspectives, to be aware of your own bias. But sometimes it's also important to state facts, and to call out facts that are not true
Not long after I posted this Trump went bonkers on Zelensky. It is very worrying. Every claim he makes — from America giving a lot more than Europe to Ukraine, Zelensky support’s being down to 4% and Zelensky being a dictator because he’s not called elections (neither did…
The brutal stalemate on the Ukraine/Russian front line makes the case for peace talks to explore what can be agreed to stop the killing. But there are times when the Trump White House forgets who it is dealing with. Putin started the biggest land war in Europe since Hitler. It…
Wow.
"CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD. Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED. LONG LIVE THE KING!" –President Donald J. Trump
Ok. I say this an an observer from afar @joerogan, but 3 hours of chat and Jan 6th doesn’t come up once? Really?
Values, policies, manifesto commitments - all at play - but I confess I am slightly relieved on seeing these exit polls based on front bench + wider political talent. Labour has bags of it going into government (and they’ll need it) while the Tories have been lacking for a while.
Much better format from @SkyNews to hold both leaders to account on both track records and plans. My sense is increased accountability has put the last 14 years in a stark light. This record is not a good one. A good night for Starmer / Labour - but many still need convincing.
Raining on the PM; Things Can Only Get Better being played in the background. Dear me. This is a hard watch 🙈😂🤭
Love this. Nepotism embodied by class and male bias is not good for UK plc. Based on all the information here, she was simply raising fair concerns. Lawyer who raised ‘boys’ club’ concerns over judgment accused of misconduct theguardian.com/law/2024/mar/2…
