Fascinating! Also amazing of the team to think of doing this subculture… wow.
A Pseudomonas putida from a CF patient had increased growth with increasing TMP-SMX. We subcultured the bacteria around the E-test strip and found a subpopulation of TMP-SMX dependent colonies! 🤯😵 I found one article describing this (PMC7879151). But have you ever seen this?
Congratulations to our @TempleIM residents and chiefs, who had a fantastic #MatchDay! We’re fortunate to be a part of your journeys, and we know the sky is the limit for your potential. Way to go!

Covid kills about 1 in 200 unvaccinated people and causes severe illness and long-term health problems in many more. Choosing not to get vaccinated isn't risk-free.

Outstanding work, @JacksonHealth! "We sought to alter the paradigm of treating patients with SIRIs from a hospital-based approach to a longitudinal patient-centered relationship that was not bound by the walls of the healthcare system." @TempleID1 @dorazepam

Puerto Rico getting it done!
When folks think about highly vaccinated places in America They think Vermont or CT or MA Those places are good But not the most vaccinated place in America So who's #1? Puerto Rico! But PR has gotten way too little attention Its worth reflecting on how they did it Thread
Yes! I Love #MicroMonday with @LKSOM_Medicine!
#MicroMonday: You're assessing a 27 y/o female patient in clinic for diarrhea. She recently came back from a vacation in Mexico, and has been having at least 3 watery stools daily for the past three weeks. She is able to keep up with her fluid losses.

“Haley had had anaphylaxis reactions in the past,” Mulkey said. “So for that reason, she felt that it was not safe for her.” A history of #anaphylaxis is NOT a contraindication to getting vaccinated. Please talk to an #allergist - this 💔. al.com/news/mobile/20….

US has done well on vaccinations Will it be enough to ward off spike from Delta variant? Let's look to UK for to peek into our future A month ago, UK had half the cases (per capita) as the US Delta was starting to take hold in UK See graph (US in blue, UK in red) Thread
