It's time to see things as they are. Multistate exams are commercial products, not tests of fitness, talent, or integrity. They are commercial products, bought and sold. When we protect the bar exam status quo, we are protecting a commercial interest, not the public.

This is an incredibly difficult situation that (presumably) some examinees face every year. But it's especially frustrating that so many examinees may have made hugely significant family-planning decisions based around the July exam date, and had to go through things like this:

We are hearing reports that examiners from numerous jurisdictions got the following email from @ExamSoft today, stating that their video proctoring files failed to upload. Reply to this if you got this email.
NYBOLE is claiming only 13 NY test takers failed to complete the exam, and that “20 or fewer examinees encountered technical problems on the test.” Examinees: does this narrative reflect your side of the story? law.com/2020/10/07/sta…
I hope NCBE will publish the questions. I don't think they plan to use them again. They do publish the MEE after use. I think it would be helpful to all.
This whole thread is worth a read. Congratulations to everyone who finished their exam today! Many were able to do also without significant tech issues. But, unfortunately, situations like below were much too prevalent. We are still here for #diplomaprivilegeforall

ATTN Bar Examinees: We heard several times throughout the day that examinees have been told by ExamSoft reps to withdraw and take the exam in Feb. Bar Examiners seem not to be aware that ExamSoft is telling people this. PLEASE DO NOT WITHDRAW WITHOUT TALKING TO YOUR BAR EXAMINERS
Like other bar examinees today I logged onto @examsoft today at 11:45 to begin the MPT. The file didn’t appear despite multiple refresh, on hold with examsoft for 45 minutes, eventually someone accessed my computer remotely but still can’t determine the issue.
We know a lot of people have not received confirmation emails for their uploads yet! Please check to see if you have a green check or orange pending upload in examplify. #barpocalypse
If you see a green check mark with a date/time stamp or an orange pending upload, that means your answer file has been successfully uploaded. Upload confirmation email will follow but may take up to six hours to receive.
