Whether someone says racist or sexist stuff, if they vote for someone who literally campaigns on racism and sexism, they are supporting racism and sexism. You can’t vote to take peoples rights away and then claim to be cool because you don’t use a slur.
One contribution I would make to the "liberals dumping right wing friends" discourse is that I have right wing friends, including Trump voters, and not one of them says racist or sexist stuff. This a caricature that liberals who DON'T know conservatives make up.
