Rio Vista MS finishes 2nd in the Buchanan MS girls volleyball tourney. Beat Ridgeview, Clark, Granite Ridge, then lost to Alta Sierra finishing 3-1 in pool play. Into playoffs as the #1 seed, Rio beat Alta Sierra 2-0 in the Semi’s but fell short vs Clark in the championship!
Down 1-0 sets, the City swept the last 3 sets to win 3-1 in the Annual City/County Boys Volleyball All Star game held at Buchanan HS. With sets tied at 1-1, the City down 15-18 in pivotal Set 3, James Lee of Clovis North served 10 points in a row which included 3 Aces.
