The Cat Burglar | A Short Film
Are you critiquing the film you’re watching or the film you wanted to make?
A society with intact self-respect wouldn’t tolerate capitalism for a generation, never mind a century. The trick was simple... train people to doubt themselves, blame themselves, and normalise the humiliation built into the system.
Black Twitter on this app since the location update went live
Capitalism has destroyed the family unit, made communities obsolete, isolated the working class, and left nearly everyone broke. Yet it continues to shove commercialized holidays like Thanksgiving/Christmas down our throats with a mocking facade of family-oriented wholesomeness.
Iv said it before and ill say it again, The French Connection is the biggest pile of toilet swill i have ever seen. People praise that dog shit and then call this a bad movie
Not that anyone would look to me for a discourse shattering opinion, but I loved TRAIN DREAMS. Very pro over here. Does that make me a simpleton as some of the detractors suggest? Maybe. But I probably don’t think highly of some of the films those folks glorify. So it’s fine.
I’ve been a Don’t Look Up (2021) defender since day one, and to this day I still think it’s an incredibly good satire that perfectly depicts the chaotic and unbothered society we live in. Unless it’s too late and the threat is right under our nose, most of us genuinely don’t…
I’m rewatching Don’t Look Up, and once again, I don’t understand why people didn’t like this movie, it’s so good and so funny!!!
genuinely when the reveal happens it will be the most spoiled moment of any series ever
There’s gonna be a time where ppl read one piece KNOWING what the one piece is
Joy-Ann Reid: “You had a 400 year head start on these blacks and you still poor. Make that make sense to yourself. And maybe think about a different kind of politics where you really do vote your pocketbook not your color. If that ever happened, no Republican would win ever again…
Capitalism leads to monopolies — we’re watching businesses be consolidated into just a few major corporations around us in real time
Manhattan’s starting to feel less like a city and more like a corporate showroom. Local charm is fading fast as small businesses disappear and chain stores take over every block.
Train Dreams is my new litmus test film. If you think certain films are better than it i just know that your opinion holds no weight in my eyes. Dont have to love it but calling it bad filmmaking just tells me the level of pretension that i am talking to
being trapped in a capitalist system none of us ever consented to.
being black in america and not hating urself requires a strong sense of self and we live in a society that fetishizes individualism so no wonder everybody acts like That
Wanted to make sure I got it right
white lotus with graphic violence is kind of an incredible pitch
A live-action ‘FAR CRY’ series is moving forward at FX • Noah Hawley and Rob McElhenney will exec produce the series • Will be anthology format with different cast & setting each season
Corporate media lecture us about our spending habits and tell us we are poor bc we go out to eat too often and buy too many lattes, but also beg us to please please please go out to eat and buy lattes, & we shouldn’t pack our lunch bc we need to make sacrifices for the economy 🥴

Boston Public Schools is the first district in the U.S. to swap out Mercator maps for the Peters projection, a more accurate and equitable depiction of the world that avoids the exaggerated size of Euro-centric countries.
“I prefer the quiet fascism” - Jenan Matari. An amazingly well produced critique of U.S. imperialism, and how fascism was always embedded in it.
